will have gone/ will go / will be going bad (2024)

Hello! I need some help, please!
"This cabbage will HAVE GONE/ GO/ BE GOING bad by the time we get back."
In this sentence I have to put in the right verb form; I have some doubts: I'd say "will have gone"; do you agree? Or is "will go" better?
Thanks a lot in advance!

    I agree that "will have gone" is probably the best answer, but "will be going" (will be in the process) could work, too.
