1. While You Were Sleeping (1995)
Until she saves Peter’s life, Lucy’s life is filled with loneliness. Now that she is a member of his family, others, including Peter’s brother Jack, begin to realize what a wonderful person she is due to her strong character and good fortune. It’s amazing how true-to-life the events are as Lucy and Jack grow closer and learn more about one another and about themselves than they could have imagined from such coincidental, yet believable, events.
2. Two Lovers (2008)
Having lost his fiancee, Leonard Kraditor now lives with his immigrant parents, helps out at their Brooklyn dry cleaners, takes photographs, and is suicidal as a result of his burnout. It doesn’t take him long to fall in love with two women: Sandra, the daughter of a business associate of his parents’; she’s direct and sensual like Leonard, and she’s Jewish. His next-door neighbor Michelle is a mercurial blond who has no roots and is therefore completely out of reach.
Sandra wants to save Leonard because Michelle, who is in love with a married man, weeps on his shoulder. Is Leonard willing to take a chance on losing Sandra’s trust in exchange for a fling with Michelle? Is there any hope for this?
3. In Her Shoes (2005)
In addition to the two sisters, there’s also their deceased mother, their remarried father, and an unfriendly stepmom. Each of the sisters has mastered the art of losing. For the older woman named Rose: she’s an accomplished attorney who’s also lonely and has a large collection of shoes in her apartment. In her twenties, Maggie is a stunning young woman who is also selfish and irresponsible.
Her stepmother kicks her out of her dad’s house because of her drunken behavior, and Rose does the same thing when she throws her out of her apartment because of her worse behavior. Later, when Maggie is looking for money to steal from her father’s desk, she comes across an address, which opens the past and future for her, and maybe even for her sister.
4. Four Christmases (2008)
Both Brad and Kate have been seeing each other for three years and are completely content with their relationship as it is. They have no plans to get married or start a family anytime soon. As soon as their divorced parents wake up on Christmas morning, they’re on a plane to Fiji, where they’ll be doing charity work.
They are compelled by a coincidence to pay a visit to each of their four eccentric parents. As the day goes on, Brad and Kate reminisce about their childhood, learn more about one another, and Kate comes to the realization that her life may not be as good as it could be. Do they have enough trust in one another to withstand the pressures that come with being a family?
5. He’s Just Not That Into You (2009)
the poor and destitute Gigi Haim is a young woman who has had a string of bad dates and is on the lookout for her prince charming. Gigi has been anticipating hearing from estate agent Conor Barry ever since they started dating. Conor, on the other hand, never makes contact with her. Gigi decides to meet him at the bar where he often hangs out, but instead she runs into his coworker Alex. Their relationship blossoms as they learn to read each other’s body language and Alex becomes a valuable dating resource for Gigi.
6. Home Alone (1990)
It’s the holiday season, and the McCallisters are getting ready for a trip to Paris, France. Kevin, the family’s youngest member, got into a fight with Buzz, Kevin’s older brother, and was sent to Kevin’s room on the third floor of the house. Later, as the rest of the family raced to catch their flight, they completely overlooked Kevin, who was left alone in the house. Kevin enjoyed being home alone because he could have his own pizza, jump on his parents’ bed, and generally cause havoc.
Kevin then learns that two would-be burglars named Harry and Marv are planning to break into his home on Christmas Eve. Kevin is quick to act, installing improvised booby traps throughout his home to deter the intruders and bring them to justice.
7. Brooklyn (2015)
Eilis Lacey, a 16-year-old Irish immigrant, moves to Brooklyn in late 1951. Father Flood, a priest in her hometown of Enniscorthy, has promised to help her find work in Dublin. Eilis had to leave behind her widowed mother and her dear sister Rose, so the early days were difficult. Seasickness was soon replaced by loneliness and homesickness, two feelings she felt even more acutely because of.
Despite this, she gradually manages to find her footing by adapting to her new job as a salesgirl, studying bookkeeping at Brooklyn College, and receiving some assistance from Father Flood and Mrs. Kehoe, the headmistress of the boarding school where she now resides. Furthermore, Tony, an Italian-American plumber, shows his love for her with adoration and respect. They end up getting married, but they don’t tell anyone. Tragedy befalls Eilis at this point, causing her to return to Enniscorthy to morally support her mother.
As a result, she finds herself being drawn back to her hometown by its allure, even allowing herself to be wooed by local young man, Jim Farrell.
8. All Good Things (2010)

9. Made Of Honor (2008)

A Jewish male nurse intends to propose marriage to his roommate. However, he finds out that her stern father expects him to ask for his daughter’s hand first before she will agree to the marriage.. Upon arrival, they discover that Mom and Dad are ex-CIA agents with a lie detector in the basem*nt, and thus begins the visit from Hell. A sister of mine has just announced her engagement to a young doctor, which is completely coincidental. The disappearance of Dad’s cherished Himalayan cat, Jinxie, is just the latest example of everything going wrong.
12. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)
As the Griswolds prepare for a holiday celebration with their extended family, things never go as planned for Clark, his wife Ellen, and their two children. After receiving a letter from Baltimore, Jonah is fired up and will stop at nothing to bring his father and Annie together. Even though he’s a traditionalist, Sam can’t help but be smitten with a mysterious woman he sees around Seattle a couple of times. Will Sam’s life be blessed with magic twice? If so, will it be with this person?
15. Home Alone 3 (1997)
Beaupre, Alice, Jernigan, and Unger, four high-tech industrial spies, steal a top-secret microchip and disguise it as a remote-control toy car to avoid detection. An airport baggage mix-up grants grumpy old Mrs. Heß access to the toy, which she gives to her neighbor’s 8-year-old grandson Alex as a Christmas present. Before their clients become enraged and decide to break into every house on Alex’s street to find the chip, the spies want the toy back. Alex, on the other hand, is fully prepared for their arrival.
16. Dragonfly (2002)
Dr. Joe Darrow recently got divorced and is now a single doctor. His wife, who was eight months pregnant at the time of her death in a Venezuela Red Cross mission, has left him in mourning. Despite his atheism, he has come to believe that his deceased wife wishes to communicate with him via her young patients in the Pediatrics department of a Chicago hospital.
