Plastic is an advanced building material. It is created either by using a Polymer Press to refine Petroleum or by shearing Glossy Dreckos.

Usage[ | ]
It is used to make many useful and decorative items, notably Steam Turbines, Comfy Beds and Transit Tubes
Thanks to its excellent Radiation Absorption rate of 85%, Plastic is tied in first place with Lead and Depleted Uranium for buildable radiation absorber.
Orbital Data Collection Lab produces Data Banks from Plastic when Duplicants operate the building during rocket flight:

Properties[ | ]
Plastic is described as antiseptic, but this has no in-game effect. It has a very low thermal conductivity. When melted, it turns into Naphtha; melting objects constructed using Plastic will also convert them to Naphtha.
