Too much skin
I should have known that it would be a typical Adam Sandler movie. I figured since it was PG there would be less sexual references. However, that was not the case. It was basically a movie about Sandler trying to get the hot girl half his age but ending up with a more grounded pretty girl, with the actual plot thrown in here and there for good measure. It was my fault for not looking into it, but I would not recommend this movie for kids.

Not ok for kids
I thought that there would be more of the bedtime stores parts and kid friendly parts but we had to fast forward too much of the adult humor that was definitely Inappropriate for kids. I had to leave the room for a second and My 9 year old son asked to fast forward one part and it made him so uncomfortable we turned it off. I should have known better for it being an Adam Sandler movie.

LOVE IT!!!
Great movie, my daughter Ellsda (2 years) loved it, me and my husband have watched this loads of times, one can never get bored of it. Although, it does have some sex which my son, Hector, (5 years old) got bored of very quickly.

Great family flick!
Despite the reviews from people who evidently still live in the 16th century, this movie is absolutely fine for for 6-year olds and up. Tons of good messages about putting family first and staying true to your dreams. No violence or consumerism. There is some potty humor here and there and some kissing but absolutely nothing we found objectionable. The one part we could do without is a brief Rob Schneider appearance as a Native American. Clearly this movie was made before Disney started paying more attention to ethnicity and casting. A good opportunity to have conversation with your kids about why this particular part may be offensive to Native Americans.

This movie has nothing offensive. These people reviewing just hate Sandler I fear.
I have no other excuse for the crazy reviews. There are no offensive women, gestures or language that I could come across. I guess if you are one of those people that live without electricity and shelter yourself from anything remotely having to do with modern society, then maybe you could find something that would offend you. I think you would still have to stretch the truth a litte to find something. These people must just hate Sandler. Judging how a lot of these people are just copying the same words - I would bet that most have never even seen it. Anyway, my 10 year old really liked it. It is a sweet little movie about kids and love and doing the right thing. I don't think 99.99999% of you have anything to worry about with this one.

Great Family Movie
We absolutely loved this movie. Its adorable and funny. Adam Sandler is the greatest. Any movie he stars in is comical and has the best cast.

Sexualization and Sterotypes
This was super bad. It was a movie really aimed at immature adults. The point of Sandler's stories were to exploit the kids so that he could get women, prestige and money. There were a ton of romantic moments, some sexual innuendo, sexualizing of women and way too much kissing. In particular, women kissing men as payment for their kind gestures. YUCK. ***Not to mention*** that there was a horrible "story" of "cowboys and Indians" in which Rob Schneider, in brown face, plays a disgustingly stereotyped, cartoonish and thieving Native American.
