Apparently we're still not tired of seeing celebrities pitted against each other and even against the elements. No, we're not talking about Survivor, this time CBS brings us Beyond The Edge.
In this new show we will see nine celebrities leave their luxurious lifestyles for a while to make certain sacrifices in order to earn money for the charities of their choice, all of this taking place in the jungles of Panama.
"Beyond The Edge is the most extreme celebrity format ever attempted," Greg Goldman, executive producer, said.
"The day before we started principal photography, all of the producers looked at each other with the sinking feeling that this celebrity cast might see where they were living for up to two weeks and just bolt. To the contrary, we were amazed by how these icons pushed themselves to their breaking points, showing incredible mental fortitude and physical tenacity."
Beyond the Edge celebrity cast
The cast of the first season of Beyond the Edge has a wide variety of celebrities, nine in total, including singers, former professional athletes, actors and TV stars.
The celebrities we will see on the show are singer and former American Idol contestant Lauren Alaina; Super Bowl MVP and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis; Army veteran and country music star Craig Morgan; NBA champion Metta World Peace (Metta Sandiford-Artest as of 2020); model and actress Paulina Porizkova; Super Bowl winner and former NFL coach Mike Singletary; Full House actress Jodie Sweetin; former NFL player and Bachelor Colton Underwood; and television host and former Real Housewives of New York star Eboni K. Williams.
